The competition rate for the 9th grade civil servants, which was not known to be high in the sky, continues to fall.

As the job market froze and the age limit was relaxed, it was once approaching 100 to 1. Why?

The Ministry of Human Resources and Innovation announced that the average competition rate for the national level 9 civil service examination this year was 29.2 to 1.

The average competition rate for the 9th grade national civil service exam, which soared to 93.3 to 1 in 2011, is steadily declining.

In the last five years alone, it fell from 41 to 1 in 2018 to 39.2 to 1 in 2019, 37.2 to 1 in 2020, and 35 to 1 last year, and this year it fell below 30 to 1.

In relation to this, the Ministry of Human Resources believes that the number of people in their 20s and 30s, the main age for taking civil service exams, has decreased, and the number of imaginary test takers taking the exam for practice due to the spread of COVID-19 has also decreased due to a combination of factors.

It is analyzed that the application of the new civil servant pension system adjusted to the level of the national pension from civil servants who joined in 2016 also had an impact.
