The transformer is heavily damaged and pushed back about a meter, and firefighters are disposing of insulating oil from the transformer.

At around 9:10 last night in a residential complex in Gimpo-si, Gyeonggi-do, an SUV crossed the center line of the road and crashed into a transformer in India.

The driver was not injured, but the accident caused power outages in more than 700 apartments and houses nearby.

[Nearby residents: Suddenly, the power outage went out.

They all went out and came back a little later.

We just knew that the power outage was over.]

In most households, electricity supply resumed 2-3 minutes after the accident, but the power outage continued in about 40 households connected to this transformer.

In particular, the 16th generation suffered great discomfort from the cold as electricity came back on only after 1 am today when the transformer replacement was finished.

A police investigation revealed that the driver was driving while intoxicated.

Police are investigating the cause of drunk driving against the driver.
