Thirty-four people, including business owners and customers, were caught in violation of the order to ban gatherings at an unlicensed entertainment pub.

The Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced that they had arrested 34 people, including owner Hwang, 17 female employees, and 16 customers, at an unlicensed entertainment bar in Seocho-dong, Seoul around 9 am today (18th).

From April 5, 2018 to today, Hwang is accused of running an unlicensed entertainment bar by hiring female waitresses after reporting his establishment as a general restaurant.

17 employees who worked at the same establishment were also arrested on the same charges.

At around 7:50 am today, the police received a report that 'a place such as a bar is being operated (unlicensed entertainment pub)' and was dispatched to the scene with a ward office worker.

When the police arrived after checking that customers and employees were drinking inside the establishment, some fled to the roof of the building, but were soon caught.

The police said that the caught business owners and customers were notified to the district office in charge of violating the Infectious Disease Prevention Act.
