A 48-year-old woman named Seok, who was designated as the mother of a 3-year-old girl from Gumi who died while left unattended in an empty house, said, "(As evidence in favor of the accused), we will submit data on chimerism as evidence."

Chimerism is known as an extremely rare case where one individual has two genes due to overlapping genes.

It seems that he hopes that chimerism will help clear Seok's charges in a situation such as replacing a child after a genetic (DNA) test confirmed that Seok was the mother of a three-year-old girl who died.

At the third trial held today (17th) by Judge Seo Cheong-woon, the 2nd independent detective of the Daegu District Court, Kim Cheon-ji, the lawyer said, "The defendant has been suspicious of the DNA test results so far, so I heard outside advice." "I was worried about whether the data on chimerism would have any evidence, but I want to submit it (to the court) for a judgement," he said.

In response, the court said, "If the defendant submits chimerism-related materials on the next date, we will receive it."

At the trial, the prosecution submitted additional materials such as an umbilical obstruction device found in the villa where a 3-year-old girl died.

An umbilical cord obturator is a tool used to cut the newborn's umbilical cord.

Prosecutors said that the baby's navel was attached to the umbilical obstruction device stored in the lens case, and a genetic test confirmed that it was a dead girl.

Prosecutors also claimed that "Mr. Seok did not show any reaction, such as bewildered or startled," while playing back the video material at the time Mr.

He explained that it was at this time that he was first notified that Seok was the mother of a dead girl.

In response, Seok's lawyer asked, "Is the fact that there are signs of damage to the navel occluder is that it has been replaced with another child?" The prosecution said, "The interlocking part of the occluder is serrated, so it is difficult to separate it, but the defendant asked a third party help. It seems that they either received it or gave birth alone in the Buddha area and went through the process of separating it to reuse it.”

In today's trial, the prosecution said that it is rare for the identification tag attached to a newborn born in the hospital to come off, and the wrist identification tag has been missing, but a nurse stated that she had never seen an ankle identification tag (like a dead girl), Mr. Seok's daughter, Kim (22). We submitted additional evidence such as statements of hospitalized mothers about the hospital management system where they gave birth, and statements of co-workers that Seok tried to leave the company for personal reasons in January 2018.

In response, Mr. Seok's lawyer said, "Some of the photos taken on the mobile phone and YouTube playback history do not appear to be related to the charges, so we disagree."

When the court asked me to specify the part I disagree with, the lawyer said, "In the objective evidence, there is a description to the effect that the indictment is inferred or 'appears to be'." "Other than that part, I agree with everything."

Meanwhile, the defense counsel argued, "The accused was questioned about four times in this case, and all his family members were also prepared. I did.

The next hearing is scheduled for July 13th.
