When asked about his willingness to enter the political world, Prosecutor General Yoon Seok-yeol said, "After I retire, I will slowly think about how to serve our society and the people."

When he said that he was mentioned as a candidate in a public opinion poll at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office's national audit held at the National Assembly yesterday (22nd), he replied, "I have no time to think about anything else just by doing my job."

When asked if he meant to do politics, he avoided the immediate answer, saying, "That's hard for me to tell you."

Yoon confided in the investigation of former Justice Minister Cho Kook, "I honestly thought that I had made a rather unfavorable choice as the head of the prosecution organization."

“If there was any bad purpose, such as stopping the prosecution reform, it would be right not to investigate and receive compensation,” he stressed that the investigation at the time had nothing to do with the prosecution reform.

Regarding the seizure and search of former Minister Cho without investigation of the accuser, he explained, "As the accusations were mostly based on media articles, it was the dimension of seizing necessary data in advance with only public information."

He also explained that he tried to obtain data quickly because he thought that he could be criticized for conducting a'look-at' investigation because he was a candidate for the Minister of Justice.

He added, "While filing a warrant to the court to secure data, I was wondering that a large portion of it would not be dismissed, but most of the warrants were issued."

The Supreme Swordsman's National Audit was ended after 1 am on the 23rd.
