Seoul Central District Court dismissed a request for a warrant of arrest for Lee Mo, 32, who was the suspect in an assault on Seoul Station last night (4th).

Lee is accused of running away after hurting a woman she saw for the first time at Seoul Station on the 26th of last month.

The railroad police who tracked the suspect based on CCTV analysis arrested Mr. Lee at his home in Dongjak-gu, Seoul on the 2nd, filed for a warrant for arrest, and the prosecution reviewed it and filed it with the court.

The court found Lee's arrest process illegal.

Emergency arrests are only permitted in case of an urgent situation in which an arrest warrant cannot be issued in advance. The arrest for Mr. Lee did not meet these requirements.

The court found that the suspect was sleeping at home, but he did not have time to get an arrest warrant, so he did not have to urgently open the door and arrest him.

When the arrest warrant was dismissed, the victim's family put on the SNS that the reason for the judge's dismissal was'the most embarrassing of these sentences'.

'The victim and his family were unable to sleep and were agitated, but they accused the law of assuring the abuser's right to sleep and the tranquility of the residence.'

The railroad police will investigate further releases of Mr. Lee and decide whether to reapply for the arrest warrant.
