"Right now at the beginning of the season, I've put extra energy into the high jump to see how it goes," Salming told Radiosporten.

This season, which has barely started, she has jumped 1.84 as a best, compared to a personal best of 1.92.

The next race for Salming is on Sunday in the first round of the Folksam Grand Prix in Sollentuna. She has a concrete goal for the season.

"Want to be stable above 1.90"

"I want to be stable above 1.90," Salming said.

The qualifying limit is set at a tough 1.97 but it is also possible to reach the World Cup via a ranking system and based on last year's world best list, 1.91-92 could be enough for a World Cup ticket.

Yesterday, Salming was presented as a summer talker on Swedish radio P1. Her program airs July 4.
