World Athletics announced that the 2027 World Athletics Championships will be held in Beijing. This will be the first time in 12 years that Beijing will host this world's top track and field competition.
The decision was taken at the 234th World Athletics Council meeting in Glasgow. Top athletes from more than 200 countries and regions will gather in Beijing for the nine-day event. The Chinese Athletics Association will work hand in hand with the Beijing Event Organizing Committee to go all out to prepare for the event.
