Modo was eliminated from the SHL in 2016 against Leksand after losing in the seventh and directly decisive game at home.
But now the team from Örnsköldsvik is very close to a return in the top league.
It stood 1-1 after a period in game four against Djurgården before the home team collapsed. Modo scored three straight goals and went up to 4-1 going into the final period.

First Djurgården caught up to 3-4 and then to 4-5.
But Modo had the last word. David Bernhardt, who scored the winner last game, scored 4-6 and then the air went out of the home team. Modo won 7-6 and now lead 3-1 in games and can decide the finals series on Tuesday.
