It was already clear that Ebba Andersson, Frida Karlsson and Moa Ilar would compete in Saturday's WC skiathlon in Slovenian Planica.

Until today, the last place was kept open.

Now the national team management announces that Linn Svahn will receive it.

She is thus doing her first skiathlon at senior level.

- She has shown in the past that she is a strong mass start skater.

It will be very exciting to bring her along, says Stefan Thomson.

Svahn recently made a comeback after a two-year injury absence and made it to the WC final in yesterday's sprint.

She was beaten there by three Swedes, Jonna Sundling, Emma Ribom and Maja Dahlqvist, and finished fourth.

Thomson believes that all skiers have wanted to go to the skiathlon, and that they are weighing up the upcoming distances.

On Sunday, for example, a sprint relay awaits.

- We take some consideration.

It absolutely has a hand in the game, says the coach.
