It was a Swedish showdown for the medals in the sprint final in Planica.

The four Swedes pulled away from the Norwegian competitors and the fight for the gold was between Jonna Sundling and Emma Ribom.

Jonna Sundling was strongest in the race and defended her WC gold.

She won by 0.87 ahead of Emma Ribom who finished second while Maja Dahlqvist was third.

Linn Svahn finished fourth.

Jonna Sundling was fastest in the qualifier ahead of Emma Ribom.

The blue-yellow dominance continued in the quarter-finals where all the Swedes won their heats.

Even in the semi-finals, there were Swedish victories before the defeat in the final.
