Kristine Stavå's Skistad takes its first VC victory - two Swedish podium places

There were four Swedish women who made it to the sprint final in Les Rousses.

And then last year's sovereign and Olympic champion Jonna Sundling had already gone out in the semi-finals.

But none of the Swedes could threaten Kristine Stavå's Skistad, 23, who sailed away early in the final and maintained a few meters advantage all the way over the finish line.

Emma Ribom was closest behind and Maja Dahlqvist third.

Linn Svahn finished fourth and Johanna Hagström was last in the final.
