The Belgium captain and Real Madrid star retires from international football at the age of 31

Eden Hazard, the captain of the Belgian national team and the star of Real Madrid, announced his retirement from international football after his country's exit from the group stage in the Qatar World Cup 2022.

Hazard wrote through his account on the "Instagram" network to exchange pictures today, "I turned the page today, I have decided to end my international career."

"Thank you for the love, thank you for the unlimited support, thank you for all the happiness since 2008," he added.

Hazard, 31, contributed to Belgium's third place in the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but his country's golden generation, which also includes Kevin De Bruyne, Thibaut Courtois and Romelu Lukaku, failed to pass the group stage in the Qatar World Cup.

It is expected that the ranks of the Belgian national team will be rebuilt under the leadership of a new coach, following the departure of coach Roberto Martinez.

Hazard participated in 126 matches with the Belgium national team, scoring 33 goals.
