A commentator was sent off from Turkish television because of Hakim Ziyech's goal

The British newspaper "Daily Mail" revealed that a Turkish commentator was fired from his job because of Moroccan Hakim Ziyech's goal against Canada in Group F of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which ended in favor of Morocco 2-1.

The newspaper said, "The commentator, Albert Bakir Siegel, who works on Turkish state television, stated that Ziyech's goal, which was scored just four minutes after the match, was not the fastest goal ever scored in the World Cup, because this honor was shared by the Turkish international." Previously, Hakan Shukur.

The newspaper pointed out that the Turkish commentator was replaced between the two halves of the match by another colleague after these words, after he mentioned the name of Hakan Shukur.

It is noteworthy that Shukur's name is banned because of his political differences with President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

"I was fired from my job after working proudly for so many years. Parting is part of love. Hope to see this place again. Goodbye," Bakkersigel wrote on Twitter.
