Tove Alexandersson, Stora Tuna, has, due to a troublesome hamstring, refrained from running in tougher forest terrain recently.

But at the long-distance SC in what is usually called the "Swiss of the Valleys", she was still the fastest on the 12,350 meter course.

This despite a far from perfect race where the orienteering star made several mistakes, but still took a safe victory, two minutes and 27 seconds ahead of Lisa Risby from Faluklubben OK Kåre.

- In terms of orienteering, it hasn't been that great, but I didn't give up but tried to find my way back into the race and fought all the way, she told the orienteering association afterwards.

On the men's side's 15,225 meter long final course, it was more even about the victory.

But even there it was in the end the pre-favourite Gustav Bergman, OK Ravinen, who took the gold 40 seconds ahead of Emil Svensk, Stora Tuna.

- It was very tough and long today, it was a really demanding course.

Hilly and a lot of undergrowth.

I almost managed to keep it together all the way to the finish line, a small snag at the penultimate control, but otherwise I have done very well technically, says Gustav Bergman after the race.
