It was on Friday that the US Supreme Court overturned the almost 50-year-old decision "Roe against Wade".
Which means that the US states that want to can introduce an abortion ban.
According to the news agency AP, about a third of the US 50 states are expected to introduce sharp restrictions on the right to abortion and this has led to many votes being raised in protest.
Megan Rapinoe is one of them.
The American national team star was upset during a press conference shortly after the decision was made.
"It's a sad day for me personally, for my teammates, for all the people out there that this will affect," said Rapinoe, who has received support from several teams in the National Women's Soccer League.

NBA and WNBA commissioners Adam Silver and Cathy Engelbert have made a joint statement.
