Florida Supreme Court upholds one of the most restrictive abortion laws in the U.S. Within 30 days, abortions beyond a period of six weeks will be prohibited in the state.

This ban will be the subject of a referendum during the presidential and legislative elections next November. Abortion rights activists are trying in around fifteen states across the country to put this issue on the ballot, which could facilitate the mobilization of the Democratic electorate, particularly among young people. The Democrats do not intend to miss this opportunity to make abortion a mobilization issue for the presidential election.
