Horror scenes in a bullring.. dead and wounded.. (video)

At least four people were killed and more than 300 others were injured in central Colombia on Sunday when an amphitheater collapsed at a bullring, officials said.

"There are four dead at the moment, two women, a man and a child," Jose Ricardo Orozco told local Radio Blue after the incident in El Espinal.

The region's hospitals said they were treating about 322 wounded, including four in intensive care, according to Marta Palacios, the health official in Tolima.

The accident occurred during a local bull show, a popular event in which the public takes to the ring to confront cows and young bulls.

An entire pavilion of three floors collapsed from the wooden stands filled with spectators, causing dozens of people to fall to the ground, according to footage filmed by drones and obtained by Agence France-Presse.

"We are still waiting to know how many people are still trapped under the rubble," Tolima Civil Defense Director Luis Fernando Felice said in a radio statement.

Another video showed a number of people trying to get out of the wood and steel rubble while a bull was still roaming the track.

The accident occurred at the Circuit Gilberto Chari during the San Pedro Day festivities, the most popular in the region.

Tolima Provincial Governor Jose Ricardo Orozco told local Radio Bleu: "At the moment there are four dead, two women, a man and a minor."

Major Luis Fernando Velez, director of civil defense in the province, said that no one was left trapped under the rubble, noting that many missing people had been found.

He added, “The emergency situation was bypassed at the scene of the accident.
