Linköping today presented a merited new acquisition.

They have signed a four-year contract with the 30-year-old hill Oscar Fantenberg.

- I felt that I wanted to go home and get a family, we will get a supplement in August, so it feels good to have signed a longer contract.

I have had a great chat with "Pajen" (Niklas Persson, sports director) and Klas (Östman, coach) who I know from before and got a good feeling.

I look forward to helping Linköping in the future, says Fanteberg on Linköping's website.

Fantenberg broke through in HV71, and has also played in Frölunda.

During his NHL career, there were games in Los Angeles, Calgary and Vancouver, before joining the KHL team SKA St Petersburg, where he played the last two years.

"Very promising player"

HV71 also presented a new acquisition during the day.

They have signed a two-year contract with the former Rögle forward Lucas Elvenes, who for the past three years has played in various AHL teams.

- Lucas is a very promising player who has built up a lot of experience during his years in North America.

We will get a player who likes to challenge with his creativity, speed and fine skating.

It will be exciting to see him in the SHL again, says Kent Norberg, sports manager in HV71, on the club's website.

The 22-year-old Elvenes scored 43 points in 63 games in the AHL last season.
