An unexpected decision regarding the Al-Ahly and Zamalek summit in the league

The Egyptian Professional Clubs Association issued an unexpected decision regarding the date of the Al-Ahly and Zamalek summit in the local league, due to Al-Ahly’s participation in the African Champions League.



The League announced the postponement of the Al-Ahly and Zamalek match, which was scheduled for next May 24, as part of the activities of the twentieth stage of the local league competition, until Al-Ahly finished all its postponements due to its participation in the African Champions League and qualified for the semi-finals.

And the Egyptian Clubs Association stated, through its official account on the social networking site Facebook, that the matches of Al-Masry with Al-Ismaili and Pyramids with the Eastern Company, which were postponed from the fourteenth stage of the league, will be held on the sixth of next May.

She added: The matches of the eighteenth round will start on May 6, which will witness the postponement of the Ismaili and Al-Ahly match, due to the latter’s confrontation with Algeria’s ES Setif in the first leg of the African Champions League semi-final, while it will meet in the same stage of the league Zamalek with Enppi, and Pyramids with Al-Maqasa.

The association also set June 26 as the date for the Pyramids and Al-Ahly match in the 8th round of the last edition of the Egypt Cup.

The association said that the last Egypt Cup 2021-2020 will be held, where Al-Ahly and Pyramids meet on June 26, and the winner of them will face Petrojet in the semi-finals.

She added that Zamalek will meet Aswan in the semi-finals of the last Egypt Cup also on May 23.
