The draw for the quarter-finals of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) Cup, which was drawn on Tuesday in Cairo, resulted in a Libyan confrontation between Al-Ittihad and Al-Ahly and North Africa between Al-Masry Al-Borsaidi of Egypt and Morocco's Renaissance Berkane.

Al-Masry finished runners-up to the Congolese Democratic Republic of Mazembe by a point, while RS Berkane topped his group by a narrow margin over Simba.

"This is a North African and Arab derby," Al-Masry coach Mouin Al-Shaabani told Qatar's BN Sports. We note the control of the countries of these clubs over the continental championships.

And the winner between them will meet in the semi-finals of the Egyptian Pyramids, the summer of 2020, and Mazembe, the defending champions in 2016 and 2017.

Ahmed Zaher, managing director of Pyramids Club, spoke about the TP Mazembe meeting, "a strong confrontation and our eye on the championship. In the last two editions, we reached the semi-finals and the final, but we were not lucky."

He continued, "TP Mazembe is a professional team, but we were not interested in the identity of the opponent. The atmosphere is difficult here. We will play in Ramadan and before breakfast."

The first legs will be played on April 17, the second leg on April 24, and the semi-finals on May 8 and 15.

The Moroccan Raja won the title of the last edition by beating Algeria's JS Kabylie 2-1.
