The ladies' mass start in biathlon was decided in an overcast Piteå.

Mona Brorsson looked for a long time to collect her eighth Swedish Championship badge.

Until the last shooter, she was in the lead, she would most likely also be able to afford a boom.

Instead, Brorsson shot two booms and the competition was then wide open when Tilda Johansson, Johanna Skottheim and Stina Nilsson hunted.

Skottheim fired full and very fast.

Her last shot took 19.5 seconds and in the finish she was 17.5 seconds ahead of the runner-up who was Mona Brorsson.

- I shoot the best when I get to shoot offensively, she says to SVT Sport.

The first Swedish Championship gold in his career

Tobias Arvidsson, Lima SKG, won the men's race and Skottheim fixed the club's second gold for the day.

The gold was her first in the Swedish Championship context as a senior.

Stina Nilsson caught up and then pulled in from Tilda Johansson on the final lap and won the bronze.

Her first individual Swedish Championship medal in biathlon.
