The Federation of Japan Fencing has announced that it has requested the International Fencing Federation and others to decline participation in the World Cup Women's Epe Team Competition held in Russia and to cancel or postpone the tournament.

According to the Federation of Japan Fencing, Japanese athletes have been in the field to make adjustments for the Women's Epe World Cup, which has been held in Sochi, Russia since the 25th, even before the tournament was held.



Japanese players participated in individual competitions, but they declined to participate in the team competition scheduled for 27th and said that they could safely move to Hungary where the next competition will be held from the International Fencing Federation and others. It means that you have requested to cancel or postpone.
