The "Spinneys Dubai 92 Bicycle Challenge" kicks off February 19
The Organizing Committee of the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycling Challenge, which is held with the support of the Dubai Sports Council and in cooperation with the Cycling Federation and under the umbrella of the International Cycling Union, announced the details of this event, which takes place on February 19, and extends for a distance of 92 kilometers.
The 2022 Spinneys Dubai 92nd Cycling Challenge has officially joined the Grand Fondo qualifiers calendar, allowing 20% of the top competitors in the Spinneys Dubai 92nd to qualify for the final in Italy in September of this year.
This came during a press conference held at the headquarters of the Dubai Sports Council in the Dubai Design District, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, Saeed Hareb, the President of the Cycling Federation, Mansour Bouassiba, the Assistant Secretary-General of the Dubai Sports Council, Nasser Aman Al Rahma, and the head of the race in the Spence Challenge Dubai 92 Cycling, Stewart Howison, Sunil Kumar.
Saeed Hareb said: “Organizing the 12th edition of the Spinneys Dubai 92nd race confirms the status of this pioneering race and the continuous success it achieves, as it combines the character of a community race and a competitive race at the same time.
He added: "We are pleased with the position this race has reached and its inclusion in the international Grand Fondo races, which confirms the status of cycling in the country in general and in Dubai in particular, and confirms the success of the organizing committee in achieving the goals of the race, which this year attracts more than 2,500 participants."
He pointed out: “The race of the last edition was the first sporting event to pass through the gate of Expo 2020 Dubai before its opening, and this year the race will also pass from Expo, and the selection of race tracks was carefully considered to circumnavigate the most prominent tourist areas in Dubai.
