Former Ozeki Goeido's master Takekuma stepped on the first ring at the first place in 2005, and was promoted to Ozeki after the 2014 Nagoya place with the characteristic of sumo wrestling with a low hit and a front attack.



I won the championship in the autumn of 2016 and retired from the first place of the adult.



The haircut ceremony was held on the 29th at the Kokugikan in Ryogoku, Tokyo.



Due to the influence of the new coronavirus, it is the first time in about two years that a haircut ceremony is held at the Kokugikan with general fans.



On the 29th, in addition to active wrestlers such as Terunofuji Yokozuna and Mitakeumi who has just been promoted to Ozeki, former master Yokozuna Hakuho Magaki and former Sekiwake Tochiozan Kiyomigata master who was a rival from elementary school. Approximately 380 people involved put scissors in the sword.



Finally, when the master Sakaikawa cut off the big sword, the fans who gathered gave a particularly big applause.



Goeido, who finished the hair-cutting ceremony, said, "I felt that I was grateful to these people for putting in scissors. I was worried that customers would gather in such a situation, but I cooperated. I'm just grateful for that. "



After retiring, Goeido has been teaching as the master of the Sakaigawa room, but next month, he will be independent of the Sakaigawa room and will establish a new Takekuma room.



For the future, he said, "I think it will be a gratitude to train strong wrestlers from now on. I want to train as many and attractive wrestlers as possible."
