The controversial and perhaps somewhat problematic Olympic Games in Beijing could be a success for Sebastian Samuelsson.

In the WC in Pokljuka, there were four medals for Samuelsson.

But no gold.

He has started the season with three podium places - and with his form topped, he can take more Olympic medals than he has previously taken.

And potentially also his first individual coin in the noblest denomination.

"It does not rhyme"

But it is not without feeling divided - something he mentions in SVT Sports' annual column - that the games should be decided in a country where human rights can be questioned.

- It does not rhyme with my or the Olympic values.

They have big problems and then I think it sends a bad message that we go there and compete, says Samuelsson.

- One should be aware that many of these countries, including China, use the games as a type of propaganda.

They use our star shine and we have a great responsibility not to let them do that.
