In last year's Tour de Ski, Ebba Andersson was strongest in the final climbing stage.

And before the end of the day's stage, there were hopes that she would be able to drive in just over a minute (1.12) she had up to the leading Russian Natalija Neprjajeva.

Ebba accelerated during the final climb, but the time distance down to the Russian was too great and shrank "only" down to 47 seconds.

Shortly before the finish line, Ebba was passed by Heide Weng.

The Norwegian finished third overall.
