Charlotte Kalla is missing, after a weak start to the season, when the cross-country ski world cup this weekend has gone to Davos, Switzerland.

Instead of competing there, Kalla is at home in Sweden, to train and find a form that could get her selected for the February Olympics in Beijing.

"No desired mode"

Most of her teammates are in Davos, hoping that Kalla will get back in shape.

- It is certainly not a desirable situation.

I guess she preferred to be with us and felt that the body would respond as she wanted and as she feels that it responded earlier in the year.

But now the situation looks like it does, and then she has chosen to take measures to optimize her way forward and give herself to find her way back to that good feeling again, says Ebba Andersson to SVT Sport.

"Would miss her"

Andersson has previously said that Kalla meant a lot to her career, and she admits that it would have felt sad even for her own part if Kalla were to miss the Olympics.

- First of all, I think it's something that means a lot to Charlotte.

The Olympics is something she has been betting on for a very long time, and I myself would miss her very much.

But I hope and believe that Charlotte will find her way back to where she wants to be so that we can see her start in the Olympics.
