The Algerian national team started its campaign in the Arab World Cup in Qatar with a crushing victory over its Sudanese counterpart, with a clean four, at the "Ahmed Ben Ali" stadium in the World Cup in the first round of Group D matches.
The "Desert Warriors" quartet was scored by Baghdad Bounedjah, the Qatari Al-Sadd striker (11 and 37), Qatar SC defender Jamal Al-Din bin Al-Omari (43) and Al-Arabi Hilal Soudani, the Saudi "Damak" striker (46).
The Sudanese team had the opportunity to score a goal, but Mohamed Abdel Rahman Youssef missed a penalty kick in the 70th minute.
The Algerian national team won three points from its first match in Group D, which will witness later today a confrontation between the Egyptian and Lebanese teams.
Algeria is playing the tournament with the local team under the leadership of coach Majid Bougherra.
