The All-Japan Business Group Women's Ekiden was held in Miyagi Prefecture, and Hitomi Niiya, who participated in the 10,000 meters of the Tokyo Olympics, ran fast and contributed to Sekisui Chemical's first victory.

Twenty-eight teams participated in the competition for the best Ekiden in Japan for the women's business team, and it was held on a total of 42.195 km in six sections from Matsushima Town in Miyagi Prefecture to Sendai City.



In the race on the 28th, seven athletes who participated in the Tokyo Olympics this summer ran in their respective teams.



Ayuko Suzuki, the marathon representative of the Japan Post Group, who is aiming for the third straight victory, was assigned to the 1st ward, but her condition did not improve and she was delayed to 14th place in the section.



After that, in the 3rd ward, which runs the longest distance of 10.9 km, Ririka Hironaka of the Japan Post Group, who won the 7th place at the 10,000 meters of the Tokyo Olympics, also won the 8th place in the marathon in the section prize run. I passed Mao Ichiyama of Wacoal in 2nd place.



On the other hand, Sekisui Chemical took the lead in the race, and when it took the lead in the 3rd ward, Hitomi Niiya, the 10,000-meter representative in the 5th ward, broke the conventional section record by 41 seconds and raced in 2nd place in the section. And won the first victory in the tournament record of 2 hours 13 minutes 3 seconds.



Shiseido was second, 52 seconds behind, Denso, Suzuki and Hironaka's Japan Post Group was fourth, and Ichiyama's Wacoal was eighth.
