After an even match in Växjö last week, it was 2-2 before the second and decisive double meeting.

And for visiting Växjö, it started well.

Hardy Häman Aktell gave the away team the lead just over eight minutes into the second period.

Admittedly, Tappara equalized shortly afterwards, but before the third period, it was Växjö in the lead.

Olle Lycksell, who is the best scorer for the team in the CHL, made it 2-1 in powerplay at the beginning of the third period.

Every now and then, Växjö had one leg in the quarterfinals - but two quick goals meant that Tappara took over the baton.

Växjö chased an equalizer but Tappara resisted, scored in an empty net and won 4-2.

Thus, Växjö's CHL journey is over.
