A classroom was held in Nagano City where Eriko Sanmiya and others who participated in the Nagano Olympics convey the "spirit of the Olympics" to junior high school students.

At the "Olympic Class" held at Nagano City Northern Junior High School, Eriko Sanmiya, who has participated in speed skating for two consecutive tournaments since the 1998 Nagano Olympics, acted as a teacher and gave classes in the second grade class.

In classes held at the gymnasium, students used special shoes with mops attached to the soles to allow them to experience skating without links.

Mr. Sannomiya instructed him to slide without running, and in this he taught the importance of not only competing but also supporting.

After that, the venue was moved to the classroom, and Mr. Sannomiya talked to the students about the "Olympic spirit" that can be done immediately, such as "do not give up" or "praise the other party".

One of the students said, "I thought the Olympics were far away, but I felt closer to them than ever before. It was a good experience."

Mr. Sannomiya said, "I want junior high school students to find what they like and have fun, such as setting goals and doing what they can do now."
