Vinicius double saves Real from the Elche trap and leads it to the top of the Spanish League

Brazilian striker Vinicius Junior scored two goals to lead his team Real Madrid to a precious 2-1 victory over its host Elche today, Saturday, in the twelfth stage of the Spanish Football League.

Vinicius gave Real three precious points in the face of stubborn Elche, despite the absence of French striker Karim Benzema from Real's squad after Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti preferred to give him some rest in preparation for the upcoming engagements.

Real Madrid raised its score to 24 points to take the top spot in the competition table with a goal difference only against Real Sociedad, and the balance froze at ten points after suffering the third defeat, compared to one draw in the last four matches he played in the competition.

Real ended the first half in his favour, with a clean goal, scored by Vinicius in the 22nd minute, then the Brazilian player added the team's second goal in the 73rd minute, raising his score to seven goals in the Spanish League this season and occupying second place in the competition's top scorer list, only two goals behind Benzema.

Substitute Perry Milla scored the only goal for Elche in the 86th minute, while the 64th minute saw his teammate Raul Guti sent off for receiving a second warning in the match.
