The UAE national football team has advanced to the third classification among the Asian teams, to replace its Iraqi counterpart, which has fallen to the fourth, according to the new official classification issued by the International Football Association “FIFA” on its official account on “Twitter”, today, Friday, and will be adopted during the draw for the final round of qualifiers The World Cup "Qatar 2022" scheduled for the first of next July via video communication.
The UAE team scored 1,362.30 points, surpassing Iraq (1354.51 points) after the series of victories achieved by Al-Abyad, through which it led the ranking of Group G of the double qualifiers to reserve a direct seat in the Asian Cup finals "China 2023" and reach the final qualifying round for the World Cup.
In the first level came the teams of Japan and Iran, in the second level Australia and South Korea, the third level Saudi Arabia and the UAE, the fourth level Iraq and China, the fifth level Oman and Syria, and the sixth level Vietnam and Lebanon.
It is noteworthy that the qualified teams will be divided into two groups, where each group includes six teams competing in the home and away system, so that the first and second of each group qualify for the 2022 World Cup directly, while the third of each group competes in the continental playoff, and the winner of them will meet the fourth CONCACAF in the global supplement.
