Earlier this week, both the downhill race and the super-G were canceled.

But today it was finally time for the last giant slalom competition to be decided in a sunny Lenzerheide in Switzerland.

Current World Cup Alexis Pinturault, France was first out.

He accounted for a super ride and drove in at 1.01.19.

At that time, no one was beating.

Odermatt lost in the meantime

Pinturault's biggest challenger Marco Odermatt.

Odermatt was faster out of the gate, but then continued to drop at every turn after he was about to get off the track, something that cost him time.

He finally finished 1.66 behind.

In order for Odermatt to win the giant slalom cup, it is required that he makes a super run, and that Pinturault does away completely.

"This is not a giant slalom"

Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen who finished 1.70 after Pinturault is dissatisfied with the course.

He says that it went well in the first gates but that it then went downhill.

Odermatt also had problems with the surface, and claimed that it changed several times during the race.

Something that Kristoffersen agrees with.

- This is not a giant slalom, he says to SVT Sport.
