'Korean Monster' Ryu Hyun-jin (33, Toronto Blue Jays) has been named the final candidate for'Cy Young' for the top pitcher in the MLB Major League Baseball (MLB) for the second consecutive year.



The American Baseball Journalists Association (BBWAA) selected Hyunjin Ryu, Japanese pitcher Kenta Maeda (Minnesota Twins), and Shane Bieber (Cleveland Indians) as the three finalists in the American League Cy Young on the 3rd (Korean time).



Hyunjin Ryu played the role of Toronto's ace with an average of 2.69 ERA in 12 games (67 innings) this season.



Beaver played in 12 games (77⅓ innings) this season, with an average ERA of 8-1 and 1.63, and Maeda scored 6-1 and an ERA of 2.70 in 11 games (66⅔ innings).



The final winners will be announced on the 12th.



Ryu Hyun-jin scored 88 points, including 1st place 1st place and 2nd place 10th place in the last year's National League Cy Youngs poll, who played for the Los Angeles Dodgers, and became the sole 2nd place after Jacob D.



It was the first time as a player from Asia as well as Korea to receive the first place vote in the Cy Youngs vote.



Kim Gwang-hyun (St. Louis Cardinals), who was expected to receive the first Korean player award, was unfortunately lost.
