Modo won the shots with a superior 21-5 in the first period against Leksand, but it was the Dala team that scored the only goal of the period when Wilma Johansson poked a post back into powerplay.

But Modo's dominance would eventually pay off.

During the middle period, they equalized when Lina Ljungblom scored her fifth goal of the season, before Daniela Pejsova completed the turn early in the third when she put 2-1 from close range after four minutes of play.

Leksand rushed for an equalizer but had a hard time creating the clear goal chances.

And when Lore Baudrit put 3-1 in the open goal cage 1.5 minutes from full time, it was all over.

Full fight

But perhaps it was the scenes at the final signal that get the most attention after this match.

The puck was down by Modo goalkeeper Klara Peslarova when Tuva Kandell in Leksand handed out a slashing - which would prove to be the start of a commotion behind the Modo box and a full fight.

It all rendered in several match penalties and a total of 154 expulsion minutes just from the final scenes.

The victory means that Modo creates a safe margin down to the qualifying places and can rather look upwards in the table.

Leksand is in turn still below the line with five points up to safe ground.
