Pontus Jansson has formed a center-back pair with Victor Lindelöf throughout the Nations League autumn.

It has given the blue and yellow four straight losses against Portugal twice, Croatia and France.

The Brentford player was unhappy both against Croatia on Sunday and in Lisbon against Portugal on Wednesday night when he got it wrong in a couple of situations that resulted in goals for the home team.

- No idea, I have to look at it and analyze it.

No idea, Jansson answered the question of what he would have liked to change in his effort.

Contradicted Sweden

Sweden tried a higher starting position in the back line and pushed the Portuguese high up the field.

Dare and maybe a little naive, Janne Andersson admitted afterwards.

-Our defensive game is generally at this level.

But today we release to a few simple goals.

That is not the case today.

There we must have a better balance in our team.

Everyone sees it.

Then there are many details that are good.

They counter us, they do not play us.

Lindelöf was on the same track.

- We must look at how we can do better collectively.

It's not just about playing in the back.

Missing "The Christmas Tree"

At the press conference, Janne Andersson was asked if he misses team captain Andreas Granqvist, 35, after eight goals conceded in four matches.

The midfielder is still injured at home in Helsingborg and has not played football since mid-June.

- Yes, Andreas Granqvist in full form is a fantastic midfielder who we had a lot of fun with in the national team.

So it is obvious that I hope he comes back again, says the league captain and continues.

- Then I will not say that I miss him concretely so that everything would have gone differently if he had been with.

Those who did it out there today did the best they could.

But it is clear that if "The Christmas Tree" is back in full shape as he was before, I would be happy.
