Falun led its all-Swedish group while the Thorengruppen was second when corona struck this spring and the series ended.

Since then, the Thorengruppen has replenished its player squad with a number of players from the champion team IKSU who retired this summer.

In today's squad against Falun, the Thorengruppen had only two players out of 20 who never represented IKSU.

And the difference in routine was noticeable.

The guests started the scoring after 10.22 through Ellinor Berling and just over three minutes later it was 3-0.

By then, the twins Oona and Veera Kauppi had presented themselves by collaborating on the 3-0 goal.

Falun managed to reduce before the break through Patricia Forselll.

Favorite winner

In the second period, Falun managed to keep the match even, but the 2-4 result was loose when the team played at a numerical disadvantage.

Even though the Thorengruppen had most of the game, the match lived on.

It was only 3.55 into the last period that the team took a final grip on the match when Myra Aggeståll put 5-2.

Falun tried in vain to catch up but they did not come closer to 3-5.

It was an honorable loss against a strongly favored Team Thorengruppen.

- Falun was tough to face, but we should have scored a few more goals, said Veera Kauppi.
