Tonny Vilhena is one step closer to the group stage of the Champions League with FK Krasnodar.
The Russian club won the first play-off match against PAOK on Tuesday: 2-1.
Dimitrios Pelkas opened the score for PAOK after more than half an hour, after he had already missed a penalty in the seventh minute.
Not much later, Krasnodar also received a penalty, which was used by Viktor Claesson.
Twenty minutes before the end, Remy Cabella made the winning 2-1 for an empty goal.
Midfielder Vilhena, who exchanged Feyenoord for 9 million euros for Krasnodar in 2019, completed the ninety minutes with the Russian club, which has never reached the group stage of the Champions League before.
Further in the play-offs, the Austrian Red Bull Salzburg won 1-2 against Maccabi Tel-Aviv and Slavia Prague and FC Midtjylland came no further than a 0-0 draw.
Wednesday the first leg of KAA Gent-Dynamo Kiev, Molde FK-Ferencvaros and Olympiacos-Omnia are on the program.
The returns are on September 29 and 30.
The winner of the diptychs will qualify for the group stage of the Champions League, which starts on October 20.
