Gareth Bale agent: Real fans treated the Welsh star in a humiliating manner

Jonathan Barnett, the agent of the Welsh player Gareth Bale, who is returning to Tottenham Hotspur on loan for one season from Real Madrid, described the treatment of the fans of the Spanish club towards his client as "disgraceful and humiliating", considering that the Spanish champion did not work to improve things.

Bale, 31, returned last week to Tottenham, who left in 2013 for the Spanish capital's club, with a world record deal at the time, amounting to 85 million pounds (109 million dollars).

The winger, whose contract with Real expires in 2022, has won the Champions League four times and the league title twice in Madrid.

He also tops the list of British goalscorers in "La Liga" throughout history, with 80 goals in 171 matches.

However, he did not find a place in the French coach Zinedine Zidane's squad, who returned for a second term in the Spanish capital in March 2019 and tried to abandon him at the beginning of last season to one of the Chinese League clubs, but the deal was canceled at the last minute.

Bale only fought with Real Madrid after the resumption of the domestic league last June, after a suspension of nearly three months due to the emerging Corona virus pandemic, and was booed by the fans of the "Santiago Bernabeu" stadium.

And his agent considered that the Welsh international was not treated with the respect he deserves, as he said in an interview with the British Broadcasting Corporation "BBC" that "in my opinion, he was not treated in the right way with someone who gave a lot to a great club, and the fans treated him in a humiliating manner."

Although he joined for one season on loan, Barnett hopes that his client will stay in the English capital for a longer period.

And he added, "I hope that the issue of (returning to Real) will not happen. He will achieve successes in Tottenham and he will want to stay and it will be easy to do the rest of the things."
