Therese Johaug has trained too hard - and was forced to stand over the roller ski races in Toppidrettsveka last week, and the national team collection thereafter.

- I have to listen to the body now and adjust the load so that I get back to normal, Johaug said then.

Now comes the news that she is forced to take a break for several weeks from her training plan for several weeks. Now her coach Pål Gunnar Mikkelsplass talks about Johaug's status.

- The signals she has felt are that she is stiff and tired in the legs. These are typical signs that there has been too much training, says Mikkelsplass to Norwegian Dagbladet.

One reason for the congestion, Mikkelsplass believes, may be the Norwegian investment in 10,000 meters of running during the summer.

- There will be some training this week. We'll see how long she has to pull the brake. Therese is not the one who has been disturbed most by the problem, but fortunately she knew the signals relatively early, says Mikkelsplass.
