An international player punished by being banished from the Syrian national team for six months ... the reason is "insulting"

The Syrian Football Association issued a statement confirming that the players of Al-Wehda club, Muayad Al-Ajjan and Ali Rahal, were removed from the list of the Syrian football team, for disciplinary reasons.

The statement said, "International Moayad Al-Ajjan will ban six matches and interspersed friendly matches, while player Ali Rahal will be deprived of eight matches, and what is also interspersed with friendly matches."

The statement stated, "Moayad Al-Ajjan, and as one of the elements invited to the national team to join the current camp, it is unacceptable for him to participate in such behaviors, so he was punished and suspended from participating with the national team in official and friendly matches for a period of six months."

The sanctions of the Syrian Federation, which also extended to imposing a fine on Al-Wehda Club, came after the spread of a video of the players and members of the club’s fans insulting Al-Ittihad Club and its fans with extraneous words, during the crowning of the unit on the tenth of this month with the title of the Republic Cup.

It is noteworthy that, Moayad Al-Ajjan is one of the most prominent international elements that have shined in the ranks of the Syrian national team over the past years, especially in the qualifiers for the last World Cup 2018. The current Tunisian coach Nabil Maaloul invites 30 players to join the national team camp that extends until early September, including Moayad Al Ajjan, in preparation for choosing the final list of the team, which will complete next year the journey of the double qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup and the Asian Cup 2023, as the Syrian team leads the mark. Complete ranked his first group with 15 points, eight points behind his pursuit of the Chinese team.
