Hazem Naw is a Syrian player who fled the war and shined in Germany. When he was training in Syria during his teenage years, a missile fell only 50 meters away from him, and a fragment of the missile struck him in the arm.

Naw - the son of a tennis coach - grew up in the city of Aleppo, where sports were always at the forefront of his interests, but when the revolution broke out in 2011, walking 4 kilometers to the tennis club posed a real threat to his life.
