On Tuesday Lucas Ekeståhl-Jonsson broke his contract with the Karlstad club and signed for Rögle. Now Färjestad can present a new addition on the back: JVM captain Adam Ginning.
But the 20-year-old should not be seen as a replacement for Ekeståhl-Jonsson, writes the club.
- Adam is a big and strong back who will be a defensively strong play in our team building, says sporting director Peter Jakobsson.
Adam Ginning SHL debuted with the parent club Linköping already in the 2016-17 season, but had the last season difficult to take a regular place and was on loan to the all-white White Horse for a period. Ginning played his second junior World Cup and was the team captain of the Swedish team that took bronze.
"I told my agent that if I had a choice, I would like to go to Färjestad," says the back promise, drafted by Philadelphia, to Värmlands Folkblad.
The contract with Färjestad is valid for the coming season.
