“The legislation is our most advanced, given a complete set of officials and functionaries from sports. If any additional recommendations on legislation in this area are made, we will consider them, ”said Degtyarev.

On November 25, the WADA Compliance Committee recommended that the executive committee remove Russia from international competitions for four years, as well as ban it from hosting international tournaments. In addition, the participation of Russian athletes in competitions only in neutral status was recommended.

This is due to the identification of intentional changes in the data of the Moscow laboratory, the transfer of which in its original form was one of the key points for restoring RUSADA compliance status with the World Anti-Doping Code.

The WADA Executive Committee meeting on this issue will be held on December 9.

Spokesman for the Russian leader Dmitry Peskov commented on the situation in Russian sports because of possible sanctions by the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
