Djurgården, which had a tough season start, was strongest against last year's finalist Linköping. But the victory was a long way off. The Stockholm team could eventually take two points after victory by 3–2 in extension.

Alice Östensson set the match-defining goal - a goal that was done on pure instinct.

- I don't even know where the puck went anywhere. We came on a counter and the puck bounced straight up into the air. I just turned around and waved, she tells SVT Sport.

Strange management goal of Djurgården

Last year's finalists, on the other hand, started the match strongest and with half the period played, Djurgården's defensive zone was considerably up. The guests struggled not to fall into a disadvantage and despite several dangerous situations by Linköping ended the period speechless.

It was then a completely different performance from Djurgården in the second period and 33 minutes into the match Josefine Jakobsen was able to crack the goal. Another strange goal where the Danish himself did not know whether the puck was inside or not.

- I didn't know if the puck had gone in until I saw that my teammates were against me. I was just trying to put in a return and then the puck went in goal, says goalie Jakobsen to SVT Sport.

Linköping acknowledged double

Linköping then managed to double up and took the match to an extension. Once there, it only took a minute before Alice Östensson stepped forward and wove in 2-3.

- This means a lot to us, we have had a little trouble here at the beginning of the season getting the pucks in. Now it feels like we started playing as a team, ”she tells SVT Sport.
