PSG had a hard time finding the right home against Strasbourg for a long time and the clock ticked to a close. Then Neymar stepped into the act seriously and made sure that the return to the French capital club's starting eleven became something to remember.

In extra time, a cross was sent into the penalty area and the ball ended up behind Neymar who, with an art kick, fired in 1-0, turned wrong on the volley via the post.

Neymar celebrated long and well and just minutes later he got rejoicing when he ended a counter attack with bumping the ball into the goal. However, the target was videotaped and subsequently sentenced due to offside in an earlier position.

However, it did not affect Neymar's hero role as he became the only goal scorer in the 1–0 victory.

The 27-year-old has otherwise been a topic of conversation during much of the summer, and for a long time he talked most of all about leaving France to return to Spanish Barcelona - the club he left for PSG 2017.

But the two clubs failed to agree on a transfer before the transfer window closed on September 2. The uncertainty surrounding Neymar also made PSG choose to fire the striker during the start of the season.
