Sagnia welcomes the young challenger.

- It is good for the long jump and that in Sweden we have achieved such strong competition at home, says Sagnia to SVT Sport.

While Sagnia has been injured in a cross-band, young Tilde Johansson, 18, has taken over the attention in the branch.

- It's great fun and incredibly fun. I remember when I was her age and made the great progress and the pride you felt. It is good for the long jump and that in Sweden we have achieved such strong competition already at home before we compete internationally, 25-year-old Sagnia thinks.

Johansson joined when Sagnia got hurt

There is a strange connection between Sagnia and Johansson. The only time the long jump specialists meet is on the 60 meter hurdles in the Nordenkampen in Baerum, outside Oslo, on February 10, where Sagnia injured himself after breaking his knee in the other hedge. Sagnia ran in goal as third at 8.17 while Johansson was fourth at 8.22. No one who saw this race could imagine that it would lead to a six-month break for Sagnia.

"Yes, it's the only time we've met what I know," says Sagnia, who has followed Johansson's success at a distance this summer.

- No, we haven't had any contact.

It has been stressful to go injured for so long.

- It was frustrating that the injury came right there when I felt the shape was so good and would put in the next gear for the indoor European Championship, Sagnia recalls.

Last year, Sagnia SM won 6.71. The World Cup qualifying limit, which Sagnia does not believe in, is 6.72.
