China News Service, April 9 (Xinhua) According to comprehensive foreign media reports, on the 8th local time, a source from the Palestinian Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas) said that Hamas is studying a ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which will be implemented. A six-week ceasefire and the release of detained Israeli women and children in exchange for the release of up to 900 Palestinians imprisoned by Israel.

According to AFP, anonymous insiders revealed that day that the first phase of the proposal will allow displaced Palestinian civilians to return to the northern Gaza Strip and deliver 400 to 500 trucks of food and other supplies to the starving people every day.

Hamas sources said the first phase of the agreement includes the release of 42 Israeli women, children and elderly people in exchange for the release of "800 to 900 Palestinian prisoners."

The second phase includes the release of all detained Israeli personnel, including soldiers and officers, in exchange for the release of an agreed number of Palestinian prisoners in the coming days, the source added.

He also said that "this phase includes the lifting of Israeli military checkpoints on the Rashid coastal highway in the west and the Saladin highway in the east of the Gaza Strip."

According to the proposal, the Israeli army "will stay no less than 500 meters away from the two roads and will not interfere with the displaced persons or conduct any inspections on them" and use drones to monitor the passage of armed personnel on the two roads.

Hamas sources said the third part of the deal would involve a permanent ceasefire and a complete Israeli withdrawal from Gaza.

According to reports from senior Egyptian security officials on the 8th, delegations from all parties participating in the ceasefire negotiations in the Gaza Strip have temporarily left Cairo. The parties will return within two days to negotiate again on the specific terms of the final ceasefire plan. However, based on multiple media reports, Israel and Hamas did not show optimism that day.

Earlier on the 8th, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu also stated in a video statement that there was a timetable for the Israeli Defense Forces to enter Rafah. Israel calls Rafah one of Hamas's last strongholds in the Gaza Strip.

Netanyahu said there was "a date" for the IDF's entry into Rafah, but did not disclose a specific date.
